Residential HVAC Service Technician (Lead)Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This is a lead-level role requiring strong diagnostic skills, independent work capability, and the ability to oversee and mentor a helper or apprentice. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality service. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and indoor air quality equipment Perform routine maintenance and system inspections Clearly communicate findings and repair options to homeowners Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner Ensure all work meets local codes and company quality standards Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle Manage and mentor one helper/apprentice, providing guidance and training Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Residential HVAC Service Technician Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience supervising or managing at least one helper/apprentice Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record Ability to pass a background check EPA certification (required) Strong communication and customer service skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ pounds Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders as needed What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Company vehicle Ongoing training and development opportunities Supportive team environment Opportunities for advancement

Pay:

$27.00 - $31.00 per hour
