Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician and become a vital part of delivering top-tier heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions. In this energetic role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex HVAC and refrigeration systems across diverse commercial properties. Your mechanical expertise and proactive approach will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a wide range of commercial HVAC/R systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately troubleshoot issues. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections to prevent future failures. Install new HVAC/R equipment in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic instruments to identify electrical or mechanical faults. Conduct field service visits to client sites for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime. Maintain detailed service reports, logs, and documentation of all work performed for accountability and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician specializing in commercial HVAC/R systems or related mechanical fields. Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, plumbing systems, refrigeration cycles, and property maintenance procedures. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and the safe handling of refrigerants. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and understand electrical wiring diagrams. Mechanical skills including welding, appliance repair, boiler maintenance, and general equipment repair. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles is preferred. Construction experience or background in property maintenance is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward troubleshooting complex mechanical issues.
