Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to troubleshoot issues effectively. Conduct routine inspections of property maintenance systems to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics and welding equipment for mechanical repairs when necessary. Diagnose mechanical problems using comprehensive mechanical knowledge; repair or replace faulty components to restore system functionality. Maintain detailed service records, including shift reports, incident logs, and maintenance documentation for all work performed. Support property management teams by providing expert advice on HVAC upgrades or system improvements aligned with building needs. Skills Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R systems and appliance repair. Extensive knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation and property maintenance. Skilled in reading schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans. Mechanical aptitude with experience in plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and equipment repair. Familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices confidently. Valid driver's license with a clean driver record; experience operating HVAC/R equipment in field service environments.
