Residential and Light Commercial HVAC Pay:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour based on experience Help Deliver the Quality Our Customers Expect Spectrum AC is looking for an experienced HVAC Quality Control Technician to help ensure every installation meets our standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys inspecting completed work, coaching installers, solving technical issues, and helping maintain consistency across every project. You'll verify equipment has been installed according to manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and company quality standards before projects are considered complete. You'll inspect equipment installation, refrigerant charge, airflow, electrical connections, condensate drainage, ductwork, thermostats, system startup, and overall system operation. You'll identify deficiencies, document findings, and work directly with installation teams to ensure corrections are completed promptly and accurately. In addition to quality inspections, you'll provide coaching and technical guidance to installers, answer installation questions, reinforce best practices, and help improve consistency across the installation department. You'll also complete inspection reports, communicate with project managers, assist with warranty-related concerns when necessary, and help ensure customers receive an outstanding installation experience. Equipment You'll Inspect Split systems Heat pumps Package units Air conditioning systems Gas furnaces Air handlers Rooftop units Indoor air quality equipment Thermostats and HVAC controls Residential and light commercial duct systems What We're Looking For We're seeking an experienced HVAC professional with at least three years of residential HVAC installation experience. Previous experience performing installation inspections, quality assurance, field supervision, or installation leadership is highly preferred. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of HVAC installation procedures, refrigerant charging, airflow, electrical troubleshooting, duct design, equipment startup, and manufacturer installation requirements. The ability to identify installation deficiencies and communicate corrective actions professionally is essential. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship. Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and mentor installers in a positive, constructive manner are important for success in this role. EPA Certification is preferred. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
