Entry-Level HVAC Maintenance/Install Technician Position Summary The Entry-Level HVAC Maintenance/Install Technician participates in a structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) program designed to develop the knowledge, technical skills, and professional competencies required to safely perform residential HVAC maintenance, installation, and basic service functions. Under the direction of experienced technicians and field leaders, the employee receives progressive hands-on training while developing the skills necessary to independently perform assigned job duties in accordance with company quality, safety, and customer service standards. This position is intended for individuals with the aptitude, work ethic, and desire to develop into a fully proficient residential HVAC technician through structured training, coaching, and field experience. Essential Functions Assist with residential HVAC maintenance, installation, and basic service activities. Learn equipment operation, installation procedures, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and quality workmanship. Utilize company technology and field service software to document work performed. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturer guidelines. Maintain a professional appearance and deliver exceptional customer service. Participate in ride-alongs, field coaching, classroom instruction, and other assigned training activities. Progress toward independently performing assigned work while meeting established performance and quality expectations. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn a skilled trade. Ability to safely perform physical work in indoor and outdoor environments. Valid driver's license and the ability to meet the company's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requirements. Ability to successfully pass the company's pre-employment background screening. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers and work effectively as part of a team. Training & Development This position follows a structured competency-based training program that combines classroom instruction, field coaching, ride-alongs, technical development, and performance evaluations to prepare employees for independent field responsibilities.
