Job Description

STARTING SALARY
Based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees: Grade 25: $19.80 Grade 26: $20.25 Grade 27: $20.70 Grade 28: $21.16 SUMMARY/SCOPE/GOAL To install, operate, maintain, and repair HVAC/Refrigeration/Controls equipment and its associated management equipment and related control systems of various types.
QUALIFICATIONS HVAC/R MECHANIC I
(CORE 25)
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
• High School diploma or equivalent required. • Must have experience in the installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC/Refrigeration/Controls systems.
HVAC/R MECHANIC II
(CORE 26)
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
• High School diploma or equivalent required. • Two (2) years’ documented experience in the installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC/Refrigeration/Controls systems. OR o A one (1) year HVAC/Refrigeration/Controls certificate from and accredited trade school and one (1) year of related experience. OR o An Associate’s degree in HVAC/Refrigeration/Controls.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/TRAINING
REQUIRED:
• Must obtain an EPA approved CFC Universal certification within 90 days of employment if not certified at the time of employment if service in a refrigerant handling capacity.

REQUIRED
• Valid Florida Driver’s license.
