About This Role As an HVAC Service Technician with Kelso Building Services, you'll be part of our service division — a team dedicated to keeping commercial and industrial facilities running at their best. We're looking for several skilled technicians ready to take on a full-time role diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex HVAC systems. What You'll Do Diagnose and resolve issues across a range of HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps. Conduct scheduled maintenance and system inspections to maximize performance and extend equipment life. Identify and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems. Repair or replace failed components including motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer documentation. Clearly communicate service findings and next steps with clients and colleagues. Keep thorough, accurate records of work completed, parts installed, and system status. Perform all work in accordance with applicable safety standards, local codes, and company guidelines. What You'll Bring High school diploma or GED; technical school training or HVAC certification is a plus. 5 or more years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a comparable field role. Knowledge of Commercial HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components. Experience servicing or installing VRF, VAV, RTU, AHU, Chillers or other commercial HVAC systems. EPA 608 certification (required). Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and equipment schematics. Sharp troubleshooting instincts and a methodical approach to problem-solving. Strong interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between job sites. Preferred Qualifications NATE certification or comparable industry credential. Demonstrated experience with commercial HVAC systems. Comfort with digital service platforms and mobile work order tools.
