Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Helper and become a vital part of delivering top-notch climate control solutions! In this energetic role, you will assist skilled technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across various properties. Duties Assist HVAC service technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems using schematics and technical diagrams. Support the setup and troubleshooting of HVAC/R (refrigeration) equipment, including ammonia refrigeration units and boilers. Help with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting, drainage, and water supply connections. Use tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for metal fabrication or repairs. Perform routine inspections of mechanical components, including fans, compressors, motors, and ductwork to ensure optimal operation. Aid in the diagnosis of system issues by observing operational parameters and assisting with equipment repair or replacement as needed. Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols during all field service activities. Qualifications Prior experience or training in construction, property maintenance, or appliance repair is highly desirable. Basic mechanical knowledge with an understanding of HVAC design principles and schematics reading skills. Familiarity with refrigeration systems, plumbing, welding techniques, and boiler operation is a plus. Experience working as a service technician or in field service roles involving HVAC/R systems. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving vehicles is advantageous. Strong willingness to learn about ammonia refrigeration systems and mechanical troubleshooting processes.
