Job Description
Job Overview We're looking for a Start-Up Technician to commission new commercial HVAC equipment. This isn't service call work. You're the tech who shows up when the equipment is set, gets it running right, proves it out against the sequence, and hands the owner a system that works on day one. You'll see a real variety of commercial work: School systems, universities, airports, healthcare facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, and more. Responsibilities Perform start-up and commissioning on RTUs, AHUs, split systems, VAV boxes, pumps, cooling towers, and more. Verify installation against submittals and mechanical drawings before energizing. Check refrigerant charge, superheat/subcool, evacuation, leak checks, and oil levels
Troubleshoot:
voltage imbalance, amp draw, VFD setup and parameters, motor rotation, controls wiring Complete factory start-up forms, warranty registration, and detailed start-up reports Work punch lists with the PM, GC, and owner's rep and close them out Qualifications 5+ years in commercial HVAC — start-up, commissioning, or service experience EPA Universal certification Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle reportBenefits:
