Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Controls/Electrician Technician to join our team and drive excellence in industrial electrical systems and control solutions. Duties Install, calibrate, and maintain HVAC control systems, including sensors, pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Troubleshoot electrical issues across low voltage and high voltage systems using multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments. Read and interpret electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and electrical blueprints to diagnose system faults accurately. Perform electrical diagnostics on equipment such as vision inspection systems, distributed control systems (DCS), and industrial automation controls. Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical components, pneumatic devices, hydraulic systems, and electrical instrumentation to ensure optimal performance. Program and modify control logic within engineering troubleshooting platforms like Calypso or similar software environments. Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures while maintaining equipment integrity through routine inspections and repairs. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar role with strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics reading, and troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatic systems, sensors, calibration processes, and industrial automation controls. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and programming in engineering environments. Ability to read piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical manuals with precision. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures related to high voltage and low voltage systems; capable of using testing tools like voltmeters and ohmmeters safely. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in equipment troubleshooting, maintenance practices, and industrial control applications. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform detailed diagnostics on complex machinery; excellent customer service skills are a plus.
