Commercial & Industrial HVAC Service Technician We are seeking an experienced Commercial & Industrial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, air handlers, cooling towers, pumps, and building automation controls. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Essential Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. Service and troubleshoot air-cooled and water-cooled chillers from major manufacturers. Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, rooftop units (RTUs), make-up air units, and air handling units (AHUs). Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control system issues. Inspect and test HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, and repairs in compliance with EPA regulations. Diagnose and repair variable frequency drives (VFDs), motors, compressors, and control systems. Work with building automation systems (BAS) and direct digital controls (DDC). Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work performed. Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment conditions, repair recommendations, and maintenance needs. Maintain a safe work environment and comply with company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service as required. QualificationsRequired Minimum 5+ years of commercial and industrial HVAC service experience.(Preferred, but willing to train the right candidates) Strong experience servicing and troubleshooting chillers. Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, controls, and mechanical equipment. EPA Universal Certification. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to independently diagnose and repair HVAC equipment. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work from ladders, rooftops, lifts, and in mechanical rooms. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties. Preferred Technical school certification or HVAC trade school training. Experience with centrifugal, screw, scroll, and reciprocating chillers. Experience with cooling towers, boilers, pumps, VFDs, and BAS/DDC controls. Factory certifications from manufacturers such as Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, or Johnson Controls. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. NATE certification. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
