Job Purpose:
Maintain environmental conditions by installing and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment; maintain records.
Duties:
Organize work by studying work orders, diagrams, specifications, drawings, and blueprints; gather required materials. Establish environmental systems by mounting, installing, fabricating, or connecting compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, expansion and discharge valves, motors, temperature, and humidity controls, fans, control panels, switches, fuses, filters, gauges, ducts, piping, tubing, and related components; complete power connections. Test and repair environmental systems by operating the systems; identify malfunctions; repair or replace sealants, parts, and components. Keep tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintain supplies; perform preventive maintenance; call for repairs. • Document actions by completing equipment records. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations. • Update job knowledge by participating in company educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Accomplish maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
