Job Description

Mechanical Designer responsible for developing HVAC system designs, mechanical construction documents, and equipment layouts for commercial and industrial building projects. Job Requirements Experience with commercial and/or industrial HVAC system design Proficiency with Revit Experience developing mechanical design drawings and construction documents Experience incorporating engineering redlines into project documentation Experience with HVAC system layouts and design Experience preparing ductwork layouts and routing plans Experience performing duct sizing calculations Experience supporting HVAC equipment selection Experience coordinating mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines Knowledge of building systems design and mechanical construction documentation Experience supporting multiple concurrent design projects Preferred Skills Experience within a consulting engineering environment Experience supporting HVAC design under licensed Mechanical Engineers Experience selecting rooftop units and air handling equipment Experience with rooftop HVAC equipment replacement projects Experience performing HVAC load calculations Experience preparing airflow diagrams Experience coordinating duct routing around architectural and structural constraints Experience supporting commercial building projects Experience supporting industrial facility projects Job Responsibilities Develop and modify mechanical design drawings and construction documents using Revit Update project drawings based on engineering redlines Perform HVAC system layout and design activities Assist with equipment selection for HVAC systems Support selection of rooftop units, air handling equipment, and associated components Prepare ductwork layouts, routing plans, and airflow diagrams Support design and replacement of rooftop HVAC equipment Perform duct sizing calculations Coordinate duct routing with architectural and structural requirements Support HVAC load calculation activities Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, structural, architectural, and other engineering disciplines Participate in project design reviews and technical coordination activities Maintain mechanical design documentation throughout project development Support multiple concurrent building systems projects
