Through hands-on training and mentorship, you'll develop the skills needed to become a successful HVAC service technician.

Responsibilities include:

Assist experienced technicians with residential HVAC maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs Perform preventative maintenance, seasonal tune-ups, and equipment inspections Learn to troubleshoot heating, cooling, and ventilation systems Help maintain furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and indoor air quality equipment Learn proper electrical, refrigeration, and airflow diagnostic procedures Communicate professionally with homeowners while providing excellent customer service Complete service documentation accurately and on time Maintain clean, organized company vehicles and job sites Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines Participate in ongoing training to develop technical and customer service skills Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn the HVAC trade Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record Positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced technicians Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to lift equipment and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions Trade school or HVAC education is a plus but not required Construction, maintenance, mechanical, warehouse, or other hands-on experience is a plus but not required Compensation and Benefits $15.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications Performance bonuses and incentive opportunities Health insurance Paid vacation and holidays 401(k) with up to a 4% company match Tool program assistance Paid training and continuing education Clear advancement opportunities into experienced service technician positions Stable, year-round employment with a trusted local company If you're ready to start a rewarding career in the HVAC industry, Terry's Heating and Air Conditioning offers the training, mentorship, and opportunities you need to succeed.
