Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems in accordance with industry standards and schematics. Diagnose system issues using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical components effectively. Read and interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and plumbing diagrams to ensure precise installation and maintenance. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment including boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), appliances, and HVAC/R systems to maximize efficiency and lifespan. Perform field service tasks such as ductwork fabrication, welding repairs, equipment replacement, and system upgrades. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs. Ensure safety compliance by adhering to all safety protocols during installation and repair activities. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC systems; construction experience is highly valued. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, boilers, and appliance repair. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical diagrams related to HVAC/R systems. Hands-on experience with equipment repair including welding skills; familiarity with ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting is essential. Field service experience working on property maintenance projects involving air conditioning units and mechanical systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver certification is preferred. Knowledge of mechanical tools such as welders and maintenance equipment used in HVAC/R applications. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and team members. $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
