Job Description

CoolSys is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Tech to deliver safe, reliable service to commercial and industrial customers. In this field role, you will diagnose and repair HVAC-R systems, perform preventive maintenance, and optimize equipment for energy efficiency. You'll interpret schematics, document work in service software, and communicate clearly with dispatch and customers. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC-R systems in the field Perform preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and energy efficiency Interpret mechanical, electrical, and control schematics to support accurate troubleshooting Document all work performed using service/CMMS software and complete required reports Communicate findings, recommendations, and repair status to customers and dispatch Follow all Cool Sys and OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and work procedures Assist with system startups, retrofits, and energy-optimization projects as needed Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to resolve complex technical issues Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, safe, and organized condition Participate in on-call rotations and respond to urgent service requests as required Required Skills Commercial HVAC troubleshooting Preventive and corrective maintenance Reading blueprints and schematics Refrigeration systems knowledge Electrical and mechanical diagnostics Brazing and piping practices Use of HVAC diagnostic tools/meters CMMS/service ticket software Safety and OSHA compliance Customer service and communication
