Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician (Experienced Only) 204 East Main Street, Lebanon, IN 46052 $20.00 - $31.29 an hour - Full-time $20.00 - $31.29 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise in mechanical systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical schematics will ensure optimal climate control solutions for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional service and ensuring property comfort and safety. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan. Conduct field service visits for appliance repair, property maintenance, and emergency repairs related to heating and cooling systems. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose electrical faults and perform mechanical repairs efficiently. Manage refrigerant handling procedures safely. Maintain accurate service records, complete detailed reports on repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions. Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes during all installation and repair activities. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems. Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation projects. Mechanical knowledge with experience in plumbing, boiler operation, appliance repair, welding, and equipment repair. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and property maintenance procedures. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) or driver certification is a plus. Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems or other specialized refrigerants is desirable. Strong field service skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to interpret technical diagrams accurately.
