HVAC Service/Maintenance Tech

Duties Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Conduct equipment repair using various tools such as welders and ohmmeters; perform mechanical repairs as needed. Install new HVAC components or systems in accordance with safety standards and specifications. Maintain property by addressing plumbing issues related to HVAC systems or associated infrastructure. Repair appliances and ensure all equipment operates efficiently; assist with field service tasks across multiple sites. Conduct ammonia refrigeration maintenance when applicable; ensure compliance with safety protocols related to refrigerants. Use diagnostic tools to identify electrical or mechanical faults; perform necessary welding or mechanical work for repairs. Maintain detailed service records and report on system performance; assist in preventative maintenance planning. Skills Proven experience as a service technician within the HVAC or property maintenance fields. Experience 2 years Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design documents. Experience with refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and air conditioning units. Skilled in plumbing, appliance repair, equipment repair, welding, and general maintenance tasks. Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; ability to interpret electrical schematics. Knowledge of construction principles relevant to HVAC installation projects. Field service experience working independently across multiple locations; excellent problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving commercial or specialized vehicles preferred. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of handling diverse technical challenges while maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks performed.
