Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Relevant certifications (EPA 608, etc.) preferred. Duties Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and other refrigeration systems using schematics and technical manuals. Install new HVAC equipment according to design specifications while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design documents to troubleshoot issues effectively. Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems and property maintenance needs. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair or replace faulty components. Perform appliance repairs related to HVAC/R systems and assist with field service operations across various sites. Maintain accurate records of service activities, repairs performed, and parts used for future reference. Support the installation and maintenance of refrigeration systems including ammonia-based units used in industrial applications. Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician with a focus on commercial and industrial environments. Strong mechanical knowledge covering HVAC systems, plumbing, refrigeration , boilers, and appliance repair. Familiarity with construction processes and ability to read schematics and HVAC design documents. Hands-on experience with equipment repair techniques such as brazing and the use of ohmmeters. Knowledge of property maintenance practices relevant to large-scale facilities management. Mechanical or technical certification related to HVAC/R or refrigeration is highly desirable. Willingness to work in diverse environments requiring physical dexterity and safety awareness.
