Job Description
Overview We at GK Smith & Sons are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems as well fabricating and installing sheet metal ductwork for residential and commercial applications. This role involves working on-site to ensure the proper installation of HVAC units, as well as sheet metal fabrication and installation, to meet client specifications and industry standards. We are seeking out someone with a minimum of 5 years experience in the trade, pay would be based off of not only experience but capabilities. Duties Install HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines. Perform sheet metal fabrication and installation necessary for HVAC system setup. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation. Assist with the testing and commissioning of HVAC units to verify proper operation. Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times. Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues promptly to minimize delays. Keep detailed records of work performed and materials used for each project. Qualifications Proven experience in HVAC system installation, including sheet metal fabrication and installation. Knowledge of HVAC components, tools, safety procedures, and industry standards. Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform manual tasks safely. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC installation are preferred but not mandatory. Pay:
