Job Description

CoolSys seeks an experienced HVAC/R Service Tech to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems. In this field-based role, you'll respond to service calls, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot advanced electrical and mechanical issues, and ensure systems run safely and efficiently. You'll represent CoolSys at customer sites, document work performed, and collaborate with a skilled team. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems at customer sites Perform preventive maintenance and system tune-ups to ensure reliability and efficiency Troubleshoot advanced electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues Charge, recover, and manage refrigerants in compliance with regulations Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service reports Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, repairs, and options Follow all safety procedures and participate in Cool Sys safety programs Collaborate with dispatch, project managers, and fellow technicians to meet service goals Participate in ongoing technical training and certifications to maintain expertise Required Skills Commercial HVAC service Refrigeration systems troubleshooting Electrical and mechanical diagnostics Brazing and piping Reading schematics and blueprints Preventive maintenance Control systems familiarity Refrigerant handling and recovery Use of HVAC diagnostic tools/meters Safety and OSHA compliance
