Residential HVAC Service Technician

Overview:

We are a growing HVAC service company seeking a skilled, customer-focused Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This is a field service role with hands-on troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and sales of residential HVAC systems across service calls. The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, and able to represent the company with excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems (gas furnaces, AC, heat pumps, controls). Perform system inspections, preventative maintenance, and tune-ups. Provide accurate estimates, present repair and replacement options, and close sales on equipment and services. Complete service paperwork and accurate electronic job documentation using company tablet/CRM. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory; follow safety procedures and local codes. Communicate professionally with customers; explain work performed and recommend solutions. Participate in company-sponsored training and continuing education.

Required Qualifications:

Kentucky Journeyman HVAC license (must be valid). EPA Section 608 certification (Type I/II/III or Universal as applicable). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proven residential HVAC service experience (preferred 3+ years). Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of HVAC controls and diagnostics. Comfortable with sales-oriented service calls and closing opportunities. Able to lift equipment and work in attic/crawlspace environments as needed.

Preferred:

NATE or other industry certifications. Experience with modern diagnostic tools and mobile service software.
