Job Description
1. Position Summary The Experienced HVAC Installer at GeauxHVAC is more than just someone who changes out equipment — this role is for someone who takes pride in clean installs, works with urgency, follows process, and wants to grow with a company that cares about quality and consistency. This role is primarily focused on residential and light commercial HVAC installations, ductwork modifications, system replacements, and install-related field operations. Basic maintenance knowledge is a plus, but the main focus is installation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems properly and professionally Complete ductwork modifications, replacements, and adjustments as needed Follow all pre-install and post-install checklists Upload job photos, notes, and system information into ServiceTitan Ensure all work is performed safely, cleanly, and up to company standards Communicate effectively with team members and customers on job progress Verify proper startup, operation, and completion before leaving the site Uphold GeauxHVAC's C.A.R.E. values in daily work Assist with general operations support when needed Participate in rotating on-call shifts, including some weekends and holidays ⸻ 3. Key Tasks / Daily Activities Review and execute scheduled installs and related field tasks Set and install equipment according to company standards Modify transitions, drains, ductwork, and related install materials as needed Keep the work area clean and organized throughout the job Document completed work with clear photos and notes Protect customer property and leave the site cleaner than found Run parts or assist other field team members when extra time is available Help keep shop and warehouse areas organized when needed ⸻ 4. Required Qualifications and Skills Previous HVAC installation experience required EPA Certification preferred or willingness to obtain quickly Ability to install systems with attention to detail and professionalism Valid driver's license Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Professional demeanor and clean appearance Able to work in attics, crawl spaces, outdoors, and in Louisiana heat Dependable, coachable, and able to work well with a team ⸻ 6. Preferred Experience Residential HVAC changeout experience Light commercial installation experience Experience with duct modifications and airflow-related adjustments Experience using Housecall Pro or similar field software Basic maintenance knowledge Track record of clean work and strong customer interactions ⸻ 7. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs Ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces Prolonged standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting required Comfortable working in hot, cold, humid, or dusty environments Ability to work around insulation, refrigerants, sheet metal, and power tools ⸻ 8. Work Environment and Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (seasonal adjustments may apply) Overtime may be required depending on workload Service area includes Ascension Parish, Baton Rouge, Prairieville, and nearby areas Shop reporting or job-site dispatch depending on workload No take-home vehicle unless on-call or otherwise approved by management ⸻ 9.
Compensation and Benefits Hourly Pay:
$25-$40/hr based on experience, certifications, and performance
