Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and efficiency of building environments. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of HVAC systems. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical systems across diverse property settings. Your expertise will help keep facilities running smoothly while providing exceptional service to clients and property managers alike. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and mechanical adjustments to optimize system performance. Conduct field service visits to client sites for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance; ensure timely completion of all service requests. Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to identify electrical or mechanical faults and perform necessary repairs. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs for accountability and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC systems; construction experience is highly valued. Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and appliance repair. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC design and mechanical systems. Familiarity with field service procedures including troubleshooting electrical components using tools like ohmmeters. Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving welding or other mechanical techniques; property maintenance background is a plus. Valid driver's license Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to effectively interact with clients and team members.
