Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to spearhead our HVAC service team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee complex HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency across diverse property types. Your expertise will drive maintenance excellence, lead technical troubleshooting, and mentor junior technicians. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair projects across commercial and residential properties. Diagnose system issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; develop effective solutions promptly. Supervise and mentor field service technicians, providing technical guidance on HVAC/R systems including refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and appliance repair. Review HVAC design plans and schematics to ensure compliance with safety standards and client specifications. Perform mechanical repairs involving welding, equipment repair, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting to maintain system integrity. Conduct property maintenance tasks related to air conditioning systems, ventilation units, ductwork, and related mechanical components. Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols; maintain detailed documentation of service activities, inspections, and repairs for accountability. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems; construction background preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring technical teams in the field. Extensive knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and plumbing fundamentals. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; proficient in equipment repair including boilers and appliances. Skilled in welding techniques; familiar with property maintenance practices related to air conditioning and ventilation systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred. Strong understanding of HVAC/R standards, electrical wiring, mechanical troubleshooting, and safety regulations.
