Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer to spearhead installation projects and oversee the technical execution of HVAC systems. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate HVAC system installations, ensuring adherence to schematics, design plans, and safety protocols. Supervise and mentor a team of HVAC installers and service technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to execute precise installations. Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC systems, including refrigeration, boilers, air conditioning units, and building automation systems. Perform electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, and mechanical systems repair to ensure optimal system performance. Manage equipment maintenance schedules and oversee the proper use of hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Maintain excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project progress and system operation. Requirements Proven experience in construction, HVAC system installation, or property maintenance with a focus on mechanical systems repair. Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, electrical systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and ammonia refrigeration. Hands-on experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems including maintenance and repair. Ability to read technical blueprints and schematics accurately; familiarity with building automation systems is a plus. Skilled in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; capable of troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently. Mechanical knowledge related to boilers, appliances repair, welding techniques, and equipment troubleshooting. Valid driver's license with a clean record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles preferred. Certifications such as EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification for refrigerants are required; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical diagnostics are advantageous. Excellent communication skills paired with a customer-focused approach; ability to lead field service operations confidently.
