Job Overview Mid-Senior Level HVAC Service Technician Role We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for leading installs, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe, and healthy environments for our clients across various properties. Duties Oversee install of new HVAC systems including air conditioning units for both residential and commercial buildings Perform and train others on routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan, including filter changes, system calibrations, and preventive inspections Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing issues using hand tools, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and schematics Troubleshoot HVAC/R systems to identify faults related to electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, mechanical components, or control systems Conduct system upgrades or modifications based on HVAC design plans or client requests while ensuring safety standards are met Maintain detailed service records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and system inspections for accountability and future reference Provide excellent customer service by explaining system issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions to clients Skills Extensive mechanical experience combined with hands-on service technician expertise in HVAC systems repair and installation Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems repair Proficiency customer relations, quoting and conducting sales operations in the field. Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with specialized diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics Knowledge of plumbing components related to HVAC systems Mechanical knowledge necessary for repairing diverse mechanical systems within HVAC units Experience with HVAC system maintenance practices including routine inspections and emergency repairs Familiarity with property maintenance tasks related to air conditioning units and overall building comfort systems Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional NATE certification is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Comfortable working with CRMs such as Housecall Pro, Service Titan, etc. Join us in delivering top-tier heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions!
