Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled Commercial Sheet Metal Installer to join our dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems solutions. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing sheet metal components for commercial buildings, ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in construction practices, HVAC design, and mechanical systems, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and excellence. Responsibilities Install sheet metal ductwork, ventilation systems, and HVAC equipment according to schematics and engineering specifications Perform system repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, boilers, and refrigeration units Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC system drawings to ensure precise installation Repair or replace faulty mechanical components, electrical wiring, or refrigeration parts to restore optimal system performance Collaborate with service technicians and project managers to complete installations on schedule while adhering to safety standards Maintain detailed records of work performed, including system diagnostics, repairs, and parts used for future reference Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and environmental safety standards Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on HVAC system installation and repair in commercial settings Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC design and mechanical systems Knowledge of electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, and electrical systems within building automation or HVAC contexts Experience repairing refrigeration units, boilers, air conditioning systems, plumbing fixtures, or other mechanical components Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ohmmeters, and specialized diagnostic tools Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required or obtainable upon hire This role is ideal for individuals committed to technical excellence in the field of commercial sheet metal installation.
