Hvac Service Technician
Responsibilities

Work EnvironmentThis position operates primarily in a commercial construction and facilities environment, including corporate, institutional, educational, industrial, government, and hospital settings in the Greater Baltimore area. Work frequently takes place on active job sites and in occupied buildings, including on rooftops for rooftop unit installation and service. The role involves field-based work with regular travel between client locations, use of standard HVAC tools and equipment, and adnce to site-specific safety requirements and protective gear as needed.

Job Title:
HVAC Service Technician- Commercial and HealthcareJob DescriptionThis role focuses on servicing, installing, and retrofitting commercial HVAC systems, including ground-up installations and projects in hospital and other institutional environments.
Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of commercial HVAC-related equipment in accordance with company standards, policies, and manufacturer specifications
- Perform ground-up installation of commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units and related components
- Execute retrofit projects on existing HVAC systems in commercial and hospital environments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Conduct detailed mechanical installation work, including assembly, mounting, and connection of HVAC equipment and associated systems
- Diagnose mechanical and control issues in HVAC systems and implement effective solutions to restore optimal performance
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time, including service reports, work orders, and documentation of parts and labor
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, providing regular updates on work status, findings, and recommendations
- Collaborate closely with management and team members to coordinate schedules, share technical information, and support project completion
- Follow all safety procedures and best practices while working in construction and occupied commercial environments
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company property in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
- Journeyman or Master HVAC Technician credential
- At least 4 years of commercial HVAC experience
- Proven experience servicing commercial HVAC systems in corporate, institutional, educational, industrial, or government facilities
- Strong HVAC troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing and resolving mechanical and system issues
- Hands-on experience with installation and service of rooftop units and other commercial HVAC equipment
- Proficiency in performing HVAC retrofits, including upgrading or replacing existing systems
- Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to read and follow manufacturer specifications and technical documentation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to complete detailed paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Effective verbal communication skills to interact with customers, management, and team members.
- Experience working in hospital or healthcare environments with heightened attention to safety and system reliability
- Background in construction environments, including familiarity with site safety practices and coordination with other trades
- Exposure to commercial plumbing and building automation systems, even at a basic level, is beneficial
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build positive working relationships with clients
- Capability to work independently in the field while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
