NO TRAVEL!
CRAC/CRAH Service Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and servicing commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems without the need for travel. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, providing essential phone based technical support and maintenance for critical CRAC/CRAH and industrial systems. Hours of Operation:
Monday•Friday 7am EST•4PM EST Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning) and CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) units within manufacturing facilities. Use schematics, technical manuals, and control system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing tools to ensure system integrity. Manage maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, parts inventory, and service history. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation controls involved in HVAC/R systems. Conduct hydraulic and electrical repairs, including high voltage systems, low voltage controls, and industrial electrician tasks. Utilize mechanical knowledge for welding, pipefitting, and mechanical repairs on various equipment components. Operate scissor lifts or other access equipment safely for system inspections or repairs at elevated heights. Follow safety protocols diligently while working with high voltage systems or in environments requiring industrial mechanic expertise. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system status and maintenance needs. Experience Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial environments with HVAC/R systems. Strong background in industrial maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, electrical systems—including high voltage—and system schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, hydraulics, welding, and precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of industrial electrician practices, low voltage wiring, ammeter use, ohmmeter testing, and analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues. Familiarity with safety standards related to high voltage work and industrial mechanics is essential. Prior military experience or technical training in CRAC/CRAH/HVAC/R or industrial mechanics is highly preferred. Excellent customer service skills combined with strong analysis skills to identify root causes efficiently.
