Job Description

Seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician Apprentice for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Gorham, ME. This position will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs at customer locations, including troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, and operating commercial HVAC systems. Completion of apprentice schooling is required. This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!
Pay:
$18 - $27 hourly (based on experience) Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and service on commercial HVAC systems. Follow and comply with Section 608 of the Clean Air Act and all applicable federal, state, and local occupational safety regulations. Attend required safety training. Follow all safety policies and procedures while properly utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers and clients. Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance while working at customer locations. Work safely and efficiently while performing HVAC installation and service activities. Assist and learn under the direction of an assigned Journeyman HVAC Technician. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Be flexible and available to work overtime and weekends as business demands require. Qualifications Completion of HVAC apprentice schooling required. Valid driver's license. High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Interest in developing a career in the commercial HVAC trade. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from experienced technicians. Strong customer service and communication skills. Physical Requirements The employee must be able to perform the physical duties associated with commercial HVAC service work, including: Walking, standing, climbing, balancing, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Using hands to finger, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Climbing and working from ladders and stairways. Occasionally sitting while performing job duties. Lifting and/or moving materials and equipment: 0-50 lbs.: Frequently 51-100 lbs.: Occasionally 101+ lbs.: Seldom Maintaining the ability to work safely in a variety of commercial and mechanical environments. Ability to meet required vision standards, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
