The HVAC Technician/Installer is responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, customer-service abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, replace, and commission HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, thermostats, and related components. Diagnose and troubleshoot heating and cooling system problems. Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on HVAC equipment. Read and interpret equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals. Perform electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related work within applicable licensing requirements. Test system operation and verify proper airflow, temperature, pressures, and overall performance. Identify defective components and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements. Maintain accurate service and installation records. Explain system operation, repairs, and maintenance recommendations to customers in a professional manner. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable building, electrical, mechanical, and safety codes. Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and inventory in good working condition.
