Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and dependable HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently while upholding high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and ventilation systems. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and tune-ups to ensure optimal system performance. Troubleshoot system issues and recommend appropriate solutions to customers. Test electrical circuits, components, and wiring according to safety protocols. Read and interpret technical diagrams, service manuals, and diagnostic equipment. Explain system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations to customers in a clear, professional manner. Document service performed, parts used, and any future recommendations using company service software. Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in clean, safe working condition. Follow all company, safety, and industry standards, including EPA guidelines and local mechanical codes. Qualifications 2-5 years of HVAC service experience preferred. EPA 608 Certification required. HVAC/R certification or technical school training highly preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC system diagnostics, repair, and maintenance procedures. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Must pass background check and drug screening. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. Ability to work in tight spaces, attics, basements, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions. Standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights may be required.
