Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Heating & Air Service Technician (HVAC Service Tech), where you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise, troubleshoot complex systems, and provide top-tier service to our valued clients. You'll be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring optimal operation of HVAC equipment across diverse property types. Your hands-on skills and proactive approach will help maintain comfort and safety in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and plumbing components using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on HVAC/R equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic instruments to identify issues accurately. Repair and service refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration units used in commercial settings. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute precise repairs or installations. Conduct field service visits to client sites for equipment repair, property maintenance, or system upgrades. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure transparency and accountability. Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems or property maintenance when needed. Operate a driver vehicle safely for transportation between job sites while adhering to all traffic laws. Support welding or mechanical tasks required during complex repairs or system upgrades involving boilers or other heavy equipment. Experience Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge related to heating, cooling, refrigeration, and plumbing systems. Prior experience working with construction projects or property maintenance is highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and troubleshooting techniques using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters is essential. Hands-on experience with appliance repair, boiler operation, ammonia refrigeration systems, and HVAC/R equipment is preferred. Mechanical aptitude combined with mechanic experience in field service environments will set you up for success. Knowledge of welding techniques and equipment repair processes enhances your ability to handle diverse repair scenarios. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for safe transportation between job sites.
