Job Description
CoolSys, a leader in sustainable, energy-efficient HVACR solutions, is seeking an HVAC/R Service Technician to join our HVAC Wholesale team. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy savings for clients across North America. You will diagnose system issues, perform preventive maintenance, and provide exceptional customer service on-site. Responsibilities Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of complex commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability. Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment, documenting work performed and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and system life. Install, start up, and commission HVAC/R components and systems in accordance with Cool Sys standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes. Monitor and optimize system performance for energy efficiency, recommending upgrades, retrofits, or adjustments that reduce energy consumption and operating costs for clients. Respond to service calls in a timely, professional manner, clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and repair options to customers and internal stakeholders. Utilize digital tools, diagnostic equipment, and mobile technology to complete work orders, record service data, track parts usage, and maintain accurate service records. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and company policies, including proper refrigerant handling and recovery. Collaborate with team members, dispatch, and project managers in the Technical & Maintenance department to coordinate work, share technical knowledge, and support project success. Mentor junior technicians by sharing best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and safety procedures to support their growth and maintain high service standards. Represent Cool Sys on customer sites as a professional, dependable partner, upholding company values, promoting long-term client relationships, and identifying additional service opportunities.
