Job Description

About the Opportunity We're launching a new residential HVAC company in the Springfield, MO area and looking for the right person to help build this business from the ground up. This role is perfect for a skilled technician who wants more than a job — someone who wants a true ownership stake , leadership responsibility, and the chance to help shape every part of the company's growth. This is a founding position with minority ownership opportunities (structured through equity or profit-share depending on qualifications and performance). What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)Technical Work Perform residential HVAC install, repair, and maintenance Run service calls and diagnose systems Ensure high-quality workmanship and code compliance Recommend system improvements and customer solutions Operations & Leadership Help build the operational playbook (processes, checklists, pricing) Assist with hiring and training future technicians Establish and maintain customer service standards Work closely with the founder on daily operations Business Growth & Ownership Responsibilities Provide input on brand, reputation, pricing, and service strategy Manage inventory, trucks, tools, and job costing Help implement software for dispatching, invoicing, and scheduling Participate in marketing and sales strategies Contribute to financial decisions as the company grows Take on increasing leadership responsibility as milestones are reached Required Experience 3+ years HVAC field experience (install or service) EPA certification required; NATE preferred Strong troubleshooting skills Customer-focused mindset Ability to run calls independently Leadership or training experience is a plus Ownership Structure Minority ownership can be delivered through: Equity vesting over time (1-4 years) Bonus/commission tied to profit Performance-based % of net revenue Or a hybrid model based on experience Terms will be mutually structured and tied to company performance, commitment, and contribution. Pay:
