Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across light commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and comfort for our clients. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and preventative inspections to ensure system longevity and efficiency. Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters, refrigerant gauges, and welding equipment. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems including pipe fitting, leak detection, and ammonia refrigeration repairs where applicable. Diagnose electrical issues within HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems with precision and safety compliance. Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for each job. Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between job sites while adhering to all safety guidelines. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems with building operations. Follow safety protocols during all field service activities including working with refrigerants like ammonia or other hazardous materials. Experience Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments. Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems including refrigeration, air conditioning units and ventilation equipment. Skilled in reading schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans for accurate troubleshooting and installation. Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in appliance repair, welding, plumbing, and equipment repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with field service operations involving property management or building systems is preferred. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting. Previous experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems or HVAC/R certifications is a plus.
