Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Retrofit Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for upgrading, replacing, and installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in various commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure that HVAC systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely, contributing to improved indoor air quality and energy savings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize your mechanical knowledge, and make a tangible impact on building comfort and performance. Duties Install new HVAC systems following detailed schematics, HVAC design plans, and industry standards. Remove outdated or malfunctioning HVAC equipment with precision and care, ensuring minimal disruption to property occupants. Run and connect low voltage wiring including thermostat wiring, control board connections, and communicating system wiring Perform all refrigerant line and condensate drain line connections, including brazing copper refrigerant lines Fabricate, modify, and repair ductwork to ensure proper airflow and airtight seals Read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment schematics Maintain accurate documentation — system specs, test results, and completed work reports Requirements 2+ years of HVAC installation experience (retrofit experience preferred) EPA 608 Certification (or willingness to obtain) Solid understanding of low voltage control wiring and the ability to read wiring diagrams Demonstrated brazing skills for copper refrigerant line connections Comfortable working independently in attics, crawlspaces, and on rooftops Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong work ethic and a team-first attitude Excellent problem-solving skills Good communicator — with customers and crew alike
Pay:
$20.00 - $35.00 per hour
