Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician, where you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new system installations to troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues. Responsibilities Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems according to schematics and design specifications Perform routine maintenance, system repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC/R equipment using hand tools, ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools Diagnose electrical issues through electrical diagnostics and resolve system faults efficiently Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation and repairs Conduct plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as refrigerant piping and drainage connections Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions and maintenance procedures clearly to clients Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong mechanical aptitude in HVAC system installation and repair Service technician experience with refrigeration, boiler systems, or property maintenance is highly desirable Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical systems, and building automation systems Skilled in using hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools for equipment troubleshooting and repair Mechanical knowledge including plumbing, electrical diagnostics, ammonia refrigeration (nice-to-have), and appliance repair skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) or driver certification preferred EPA certification for refrigerant handling required or obtainable upon hire Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; experience with HVAC/R field service preferred Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills Willingness to work in various environments requiring physical activity such as lifting heavy equipment or working at heights Join us if you're eager to build a career in the HVAC industry where your skills make a difference!
