Job Description

Job description: Oversee the troubleshooting and repair on existing units and ensure work is completed according to company specifications and established safety guidelines. Supervise and coordinate the operation, maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Authorize equipment purchases and repair parts. Supervise and provide coaching and instruction to other technicians. Contribute to the development of processes and procedures. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Operate Company vehicle
  • Service customers as directed by Dispatcher/Supervision
  • Maintain service vehicle inventory
  • Process/close-out service orders/call slips
  • Interact and communicate with customers in a professional manner
  • Provide required hand tools for HVAC Service Technician Position
  • Periodic weekend and holiday emergency on-call duty
  • Train and Coach other technicians
  • Act as a resource for help for other technicians Qualifications (Skills, Education, Certifications, Experience):
Required:
  • Possess Valid Driver's License
  • Possess Low voltage License
  • Excellent Mechanical Aptitude
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical and refrigeration principles
  • Proficient with service tools and testing devices
  • Full proficiency in all activities related to the job (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration)
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate with customers
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
  • Ability to layout and install refrigeration piping
  • Ability to layout and install low voltage wiring
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose most system/equipment problems
  • Ability to teach others
  • 3 years of experience as HVAC Service Technician III or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology
  • Low voltage License Physical Requirements (ADA Questionnaire): Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Pay:
$28.60 - $35.00 per hour
