RESIDENTIAL HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Appalachian Comfort Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is designed for highly skilled technicians who can independently diagnose, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot residential and light commercial HVAC systems while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position also plays a key role in mentoring and training junior technicians and supporting overall team success. PAY $25.00 - $40.00 per hour DOE Performance bonuses and incentive opportunities
SCHEDULE
Full-Time 8:00 AM until completion Some evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation required
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems Perform advanced electrical and refrigeration diagnostics Present repair and replacement options to customers Conduct preventative maintenance and system performance evaluations Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documents Install refrigeration piping and low-voltage wiring systems Perform air balancing and airflow diagnostics Ensure all work complies with HVAC codes and company standards Educate customers on maintenance agreements, indoor air quality products, and system upgrades Maintain accurate service documentation using ServiceTitan and company software Safely operate company vehicles and equipment including scissor lifts and Genie lifts Participate in on-call emergency service rotation Assist with technical training and in-house development programs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Valid driver's license with insurable driving record EPA Universal Certification Strong residential and light commercial HVAC diagnostic experience Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience troubleshooting electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and control systems Strong customer service and communication skills Proficiency with ServiceTitan or similar field service software Ability to safely work from ladders, rooftops, attics, crawlspaces, and lifts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS HVAC
Associate Degree Advanced commercial HVAC experience Experience with airflow diagnostics, AHRI matchups, and advanced controls NATE Certifications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lift and move equipment weighing 50-100 pounds Work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments Climb ladders up to 28 feet Frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, and stand for extended periods Work in varying weather conditions throughout the year
