Job Description

HVAC Service Technician Dependable HVAC is a locally owned and operated HVAC company looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. We service both residential and commercial customers and are looking for someone who is dependable, knowledgeable, professional, and able to confidently diagnose and repair HVAC systems. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have a minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on HVAC service experience and be comfortable troubleshooting systems and working independently in the field. Job Responsibilities As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for: Diagnosing and troubleshooting residential and commercial HVAC systems Performing HVAC repairs and service calls Servicing heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, package units, rooftop units, mini-splits, and other HVAC equipment Performing preventative maintenance and system inspections Troubleshooting electrical, refrigerant, airflow, thermostat, and mechanical issues Identifying needed repairs and clearly documenting findings Communicating professionally with homeowners, business owners, and customers Completing service documentation, job notes, photos, and other required information Maintaining company tools, equipment, and service vehicle Following proper safety procedures and industry best practices Helping with other HVAC-related work as needed Experience & Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years of HVAC service experience required Strong HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience servicing and repairing residential HVAC equipment Commercial HVAC experience preferred Knowledge of electrical components, refrigerant systems, airflow, and HVAC controls Ability to work independently and make sound diagnostic decisions in the field Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Dependable and able to report to scheduled jobs on time Professional appearance and communication skills Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor conditions Ability to safely lift and carry HVAC tools, parts, and equipment EPA certification preferred What We're Looking For We are a growing, family-owned company, and the person we hire matters to us.
