Full-Time Scopes Facility Services LLC is a national provider of facilities maintenance with roots in floor care and landscaping. Founded in 1988 as a small floor cleaning company our services have grown to include landscaping installation and maintenance, janitorial services, exterior building services, HVAC/R, and more. We serve a variety of commercial, retail, and professional businesses in the continental US. We are rapidly expanding into the New England and need an experienced HVAC/R mechanic to join the team and help us grow.
Job Summary:
The HVAC/R Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, cooling, refrigeration and ventilation systems. You will work with a variety of HVAC/R equipment and ensure that systems operate efficiently and effectively. Your role is crucial in ensuring our customers' comfort and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Install HVAC/R systems and components according to manufacturer specifications and local codes. Ensure proper setup and operation of new systems.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting components. Identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
Repairs:
Diagnose and repair HVAC/R system malfunctions using Company's diagnostic tool and software application(s).Replace or repair defective components, including thermostats, compressors, and ductwork.
Customer Service:
Communicate with customers to understand their HVAC/R needs and provide professional recommendations. Explain repair and maintenance procedures and answer any questions.
Safety:
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while performing tasks. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure job sites are clean and organized.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, parts used, and hours worked. Complete necessary paperwork for job orders and billing.
Continuous Learning:
Stay updated with the latest HVAC/R technologies, techniques, and industry standards. Participate in ongoing training and certification programs as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal HVAC/R training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience as an HVAC/R mechanic or technician, with a minimum of 3 years. Additional experience with walk-in coolers and freezers is preferred. New Hampshire Licensing.
Certifications:
Valid HVAC/R certification or license strongly preferred. EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, electrical and mechanical components, energy management systems, and diagnostic tools. Excellent problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude. Experience with 1-5 door commercial beverage coolers and freezers, Emerson EMS Controls, Rooftop units, and Hussman, Zero Zone and True units.
Communication:
Good communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various environmental conditions, and perform tasks that may require bending, kneeling, and climbing.
