Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general upkeep and repairs within an apartment complex. This role includes diagnosing and fixing issues related to HVAC, as well as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other building components to ensure the property remains in optimal condition. The technician responds to maintenance requests promptly, conducts preventative maintenance tasks, and may also assist with basic landscaping upkeep depending on the property.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify the root cause of maintenance issues through inspection and troubleshooting. Perform repairs on HVAC units, plumbing, electrical systems, and minor carpentry work. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance, such as filter changes and appliance checks. Troubleshoot and repair appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, washing machines, and microwaves. Touch up paint, patch drywall, and perform minor cosmetic repairs. Maintain common areas, including hallways, stairwells, parking lots, and landscaping as needed. Manage inventory by ordering and maintaining necessary parts and supplies for efficient repairs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems required. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. Ability to read blueprints and schematics is a plus. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent customer service skills for professional resident interactions. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Basic understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
