HVAC & Plumbing Service Technician Elements Heating & Plumbing, Inc.
Reno / Sparks
/ Northern Nevada Elements Heating & Plumbing is a locally owned and operated HVAC and plumbing company serving Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Incline Village, Stateline, Verdi, and surrounding areas. With more than 25 years of industry experience, we specialize in high-quality residential and light commercial plumbing, heating, cooling, hydronic, and mechanical systems. We are looking for an experienced, dependable HVAC & Plumbing Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a skilled troubleshooter who takes pride in their work, communicates well with customers, and is comfortable working independently in both HVAC and plumbing service environments. Responsibilities Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC and plumbing systems Troubleshoot heating and cooling equipment, including furnaces, air conditioning systems, heat pumps, mini-splits, and related controls Diagnose and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, water heaters, and related equipment Perform HVAC and plumbing equipment replacements and installations as needed Service and troubleshoot hydronic and radiant heating systems Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections Identify system deficiencies and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options Clearly explain findings and repair recommendations to customers Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and work area Follow applicable building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company safety procedures Work professionally and respectfully in customers' homes and businesses Coordinate with office staff to ensure jobs are completed efficiently Participate in training and continuing education as needed Qualifications Previous HVAC and/or plumbing service experience required Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of residential HVAC systems and plumbing systems Experience with hydronic/radiant heating systems is highly desirable Ability to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field Strong customer service and communication skills Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely lift and carry equipment, use ladders, work in crawlspaces and attics, and perform the physical requirements of the position Must be dependable, punctual, organized, and professional Own set of basic HVAC/Plumbing tools preferred EPA Section 608 certification preferred What We're Looking For We are a smaller, growing company, so we're looking for someone who wants to be an important part of the team—not just another employee number.
