Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency for our clients' properties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical knowledge, field service experience, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions. Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on mechanical systems, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and property infrastructure. Install new HVAC equipment and components following safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical circuits and mechanical parts. Document all service activities thoroughly, including detailed reports on repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions. Maintain a strong focus on safety protocols while working with complex systems like HVAC/R (refrigeration) and ammonia refrigeration units. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician in construction or property maintenance environments with a focus on HVAC systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and appliance servicing. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology, and electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters. Field service experience working on air conditioning units, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and other mechanical equipment. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately to diagnose issues efficiently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred. Additional skills in welding, maintenance procedures, property upkeep, or appliance repair are considered valuable assets.
