Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated technician with experience in both HVAC and plumbing for residential and light commercial service and installations. The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, and capable of working independently in the field. Core Requirements Minimum 3-5 years of field experience in HVAC and/or plumbing service Strong knowledge of: Residential heating systems (gas, oil, hydronic, boilers) Air conditioning systems (split systems, ductless/mini-splits) Domestic water systems, drainage, and venting Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and plumbing systems efficiently Experience performing full system installations (heating, cooling, and plumbing fixtures/piping) Comfortable handling both service calls and install jobs Technical Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams Experience with: Soldering, brazing, threading pipe Gas piping installation and testing Hydronic piping and system layout Knowledge of local codes and best practices (Nassau/Suffolk preferred) EPA Certification (required for HVAC work) Ability to properly size and install equipment Work Ethic & Professionalism Strong customer communication skills (clean, professional, trustworthy) Ability to work independently without constant supervision Maintain a clean and organized truck and job site Willingness to rotate on-call / after-hours work Shows up on time, ready to work, and takes pride in craftsmanship Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs Comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and tight areas Ability to work in various weather conditions Licensing & Other Requirements Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to pass background check
