Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our growing team on Long Island. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities Installation & Repair :
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems including split systems, rooftop units, and electric heat pumps.
Troubleshooting :
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems (motors, compressors, fans, and control circuits).
Maintenance :
Perform routine preventative maintenance, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and system performance checks.
System Testing :
Test pipe/tubing joints and connections for leaks; check circuits for continuity and proper voltage.
Compliance :
Ensure all work meets local Long Island building codes and environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications/Certifications Experience :
2-5 years of experience in HVAC service or installation.
Driver's License :
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for operating company vehicles).
Local Knowledge :
Familiar with Long Island climate needs and regional heating systems (e.g., oil burners/boilers).
Physical Ability :
Must be able to life 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in crawl spaces or varied weather conditions. Must have own tools. Preferred Skills OSHA 30 Construction Safety Certification. Strong communication skills for interacting with homeowners and site managers. Benefits Competitive hourly pay ($23.00+ based on experience). Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holiday pay. $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
