Job Description

Requirements Demonstrated punctuality and experience performing tasks at customer job sites throughout the 5 boros. The technician should expect to begin his/her day at our shop in New Hyde Park at 8:30am. Experience with writing field paperwork and records. Willingness to carry up to 50 lbs of equipment or pails from curb/garage to customer mechanical room as needed, experience in using common tools such as channel locks, wrenches, screwdrivers. Comfort with communication with customers and colleagues. A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites. Demonstrated trustworthiness is key. 2 relevant professional references will be requested. Position Overview Our HVAC Water Treatment Technicians play a crucial role in keeping commercial HVAC equipment running smoothly by prevent preventing corrosion, scaling, and microbiological fouling on water-side heat transfer surfaces. Typical HVAC equipment we service include boilers, hydronic systems and cooling towers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sampling and field testing water, transporting and dosing chemicals as needed, and marking service reports. Responsibilities Travel to customer sites to sample water, test, and add chemical based on findings. Record observations for follow-up based on site visit and knowledge of HVAC systems. Communicate findings and concerns to managers. Discuss equipment and treatment situations as needed. Collaborate with field service team members to ensure timely service visits, preparedness and customer satisfaction. Assist in potable water disinfection and other related activities. Represent the company to customers and owners. Acqua Treat is a small but growing company with tremendous opportunity to win business in the greater NYC area.
