Duties Install HVAC systems according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specifications using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation of ductwork, piping, and equipment. Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate installation schedules and site logistics. Conduct construction inspection to verify proper fit, finish, and adherence to safety standards during installation. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess material needs and ensure efficient project execution. Operate heavy equipment when necessary for site preparation or equipment placement. Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing HVAC systems to optimize performance. Assist with other trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry as needed on complex projects. Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed using Bluebeam or similar digital tools for project tracking. Experience Proven experience in HVAC installation within commercial or residential construction settings. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to HVAC systems. Hands-on experience with construction management practices including scheduling and site coordination. Familiarity with construction estimating processes for materials and labor costs. Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery. Background in related trades such as plumbing, electrical work, masonry or roofing is highly desirable. Knowledge of building codes and safety standards relevant to HVAC installation projects. Ability to read technical schematics and perform precise measurements for accurate installation.
